R/C Car Tips and Tricks

I’m a sucker for R/C cars. I love them. When the mini R/C cars first came out my buddies and I bought a bunch and used to have races around the office. Productive right?

I don’t know what it is - but there’s something fun about racing those little cars around. I especially like the kind that allow you to modify them. Changing the body or the tires - I’m never really sure if changing the tires on R/C car will actually change much, but it sure does make me feel like I’m working on my hot rod when I do it.

I came across a great site that has some neat RC Cars Tips and Tricks. There are some really handy tips that I never really thought about before - and some simple solutions like like using a zip lock bag to help manage and catch all those tiny parts.

Can’t believe I never thought of that one. Duh. So, if you need help with your R/C cars - head over to this new blog - RC Cars Tips and Tricks and you’ll find some great ideas to improve your racing.

The Palm Size R/C Helicopter

I’m a huge fan of the new R/C Helicopter’s that are tiny and you can fly around the room. I think they’re so cool.

RC-Copter

When I was younger I loved rockets and my dad and I built a R/C plane one time which was pretty neat. But there really is nothing better than sitting on your ass on your couch watching t.v. and buzzing your sleeping dog with an R/C copter. Maybe I need to get a life. Perhaps.

But that’s o.k. because these things just make me happy - and that’s what’s important right?

Anyways - if you have nothing better to do like me - you can get one for not too much over at ThinkGeek.com

I love it. This ‘doomsday’ device from ThinkGeek is great. Oh, and it’s a 4 port USB hub.

It even comes with it’s own keys, which act as the ‘fail safe’ on the Doomsday hub. First you have to turn it on. Then you have to flip a toggle switch. Then turn your key. After that your 1 red button press from whatever it is you need to blow up.

Might make a neat gift for the geek in your life this Christmas!

I just came across a neat, very new blog called Geek Parenting. Because let’s face it, even geeks have kids.

The blog is written by Amy - a self professed geek. And it features a bunch of parenting tips for geeks who have produced offspring.

geekpI’m excited about this site because I like the concept as I consider myself a bit of a geek and have recently had a son. The site is new, but already has some interesting posts including The Top 10 Holiday Gifts For Your Oddball Child. There’s some pretty neat toys on there that I might be getting for myself the kiddo this Christmas.

Not only are the some interesting posts, but Geek Parenting has a really nice layout and really stands out among the billions of blogs now out there. So, good luck Amy with Geek Parenting - I can’t wait to read more!

Well - the answer to all my problems has been answered. Ok, so I don’t really have a big problem, well, not really a problem at all.

The wife wants a new digital camera this year she says. Well, fortunately for me Neil Duckett is having a blog contest on his blog where he’s giving away a Canon IXY Digital 1000 Camera to a lucky winner. I’m feeling lucky.

We’ll see - I’m sure there are going to be a ton of entries for this contest as Neil gets a nice bit of traffic over there on his blog. But hopefully little wifey is going to be getting a nice new digital camera Christmas morning - and hopefully it’ll be this one which will save me a few hundred clams!

So if you haven’t entered and need a new camera, then head over to his blog - or just head over to check it out anyways, some good stuff he’s got going there.

It seems that I’m seeing more and more digital photo frames. I’d have to say it’s a pretty hot gift this year for the holidays - plus, the photo frame has always been the gift to give if you didn’t know what to give.

What should I get Grandma? A photo frame!? Good idea! She’ll love it. Read more… »

Are you tired of shooting rubber bands at your office mates? Well, it’s time to step up your game.

cannon

This USB Cannon fires foam darts up to 10 feet and is controlled by your computer. Press the spacebar and launch your attack on your coworkers.

For only $34.95 you can get a step ahead in that office war.

Well, today is your lucky day. You could own your very own USB Desk Vacuum (available here).

Even though it’s pretty funny - it’s actually not such a bad idea. Though I’m not sure I’m messy enough to warrant an actual vacuum cleaner - but, you never know - if you got it, maybe you’d find a mess to be able to use it for. Perhaps if I could also find a USB Maid to use my USB Vacuum Cleaner.

It might also be a great joke/gag gift this Christmas for somebody in the office seeing as it’s only $19.99.
