Evel Knievel Tribute Video

I found this video on YouTube showing some of Evel Knievel performing some of best jumps as well as showing a few rough landings. What a legend!

I loved watching Evel Knievel when I was a kid. There have been many daredevils, but it’s going to be a long time before anybody captures the hearts of American’s like “America’s Legendary Daredevil.”

He did everything, from jumping buses and cars to trying to jump the Grand Canyon on a rocket powered motorcycle. He jumped fountains and all sorts of things, and not only did he jump them, but he crashed to. And when he crashed it was spectacular. It’s amazing that he lived as long as he did if you think about some of the things that he tried.

Nobody was better at branding himself than Knievel. He made a fortune on his image alone - of course he risked his life to create that image, but if you ask somebody to think of a daredevil, there’s only one name that comes to mind.

Knievel’s son Robbie followed in his father’s footsteps becoming a daredevil himself. He even jumped a portion of the Grand Canyon like his father had attempted to do so long before.

Many of Knievel’s records and stunts have been broken - but nobody really cares because it’s the name and the image, the daredevil and the person that is going to be remembered.

If there was a show that defined my childhood, it was probably Knight Rider. I still remember watching David Hasselhoff in the first episode of Knight Rider.

HasselhoffAfter that, my dad and I watched Knight Rider every week. Then I grew up. I admit though, when I started driving I would often imagine my car as Kitt, the talking car with all the cool gadgets from Knight Rider.

It seems that David Hasselhoff is in talks to play a role in the new series. The new Knight Rider will feature Michael Knight’s son in the roll with Kitt. So who knows how much of a role Hasselhoff will have.

I’m always amazed at David Hasselhoff’s star power. Despite his internet video where he’s drunk and his music stardom in Germany, Hasselhoff still seems to be a big draw.

There’s even supposed to be a new show on E! called “Tales from the Hoff” starring David Hasselhoff in a show similar to “Curb Your Enthusiam” that portrays David Hasselhoff’s fictional life. I’m not sure why you would need to make up a life for David Hasselhoff as it seems his regular life is interesting enough.

Anyways - I look forward to seeing the new Knight Rider and it would be cool and bring back all sorts of childhood crime fighting memories if David Hasselhoff were a part of the new series.

It’s being reported that the King of Tots is delinquent on a loan in which he put his ranch up for collateral. Apparently it’s only 23 million dollars that he owes.

How does this guy owe 23 million dollars where he might lose his ranch? Yes, I know he had some legal problems that probably cost him a pretty penny, but come on - this is the King of Pop. He has made more hit records than anybody - plus on top of that doesn’t he own the rights to the Beatles songs? Read more… »
