On December 5th the Zappo’s Las Vegas Marathon is going to be trekking through Sin City. This is the third year for the marathon and is like no other marathon around. Which would be expected for a marathon in Las Vegas.

Every year the organizers of the marathon encourage people to run the marathon (or half marathon) as Elvis. Every year a number of Elvi show up to do it. Luckily it’s in December as I’m sure we’d have a bunch of passed out Elvises if it were in July or August.

Not only do they have running Elvises - but the marathon sports a large number of musical acts and other performances along the route of the marathon to keep the runners entertained I guess. So it’s also quite a show for the spectators in Las Vegas.
