I came across this interesting article - Here at SkyMania News - that talks about a newly discovered planet orbiting a star in the constellation of Cancer. They said that the star is about 41 light years away which is relatively close when your thinking in cosmic distance.
They said this planet is about the same distance that Earth is from the Sun, and the star it orbits is about the same size and age as our Sun. So that means that it would be possible for the same conditions to exist on that planet as there are here on Earth.
I don’t think there’s anyway for their telescopes to pick up signs of life - they’d probably need to borrow the Stargate from the SGC to figure that out…
