When the holidays roll around I think about when I was a kid and we used to go to grandma’s for Thanksgiving or Christmas. One thing she always had was nuts. I don’t know if it’s an old person thing or what, but there were always bowls of nuts lying around her house ready to be eaten.
There were cashews, peanuts, almonds, walnuts, chestnuts roasting on an open fire (ok, maybe not), and all sorts of nuts that I had no idea what they were. It’s been a long time - but I thought I would look around and see what I could find in the way of nuts.
I came across a few sites selling nuts online. I suppose I could go to Whole Foods and pick up some good mixes in their bulk section, but it’s always more fun to receive things in the mail. Plus - you need some good tins for your nuts.
- The Peanut Shop - The first place I found was the peanut shop. Now, what really caught my eye was their Wasabi Peanuts. I’ve never had Wasabi peanuts. I love Wasabi Peas - well, pretty much anything Wasabi - so I thought I’d give their Wasabi Peanuts a try.

- Nuts Online - Next on the holiday nut list (right behind Uncle Joe) - they have a great selection of nuts and trail mixes and chocolate pretzels and everything you can think of available in bulk and wholesale. They even have these Pumpkin Spice Malted Balls - I guess they’re like Whoppers, but pumpkiny.

- CasaDeFruta - How can you go wrong with a place called Casa De Fruta? A nice selection of holiday fruit and nut baskets - and this nice looking tin of Brazilian Grown Cashews.
