Las Vegas is a great city - at least to visit. Where else can you go on an indoor gondola ride (at the Venetian) or ride a roller coaster through Central Park (at New York New York)?
This past summer, after a short trip to Florida for some Key West Snorkeling, a friend and I were in Las Vegas and we decided to take a break from the blackjack and poker tables and head over to the Stratosphere and ride the thrill rides at the top of the Stratosphere. Crazy. There are three rides on top of the Stratosphere - all outside on the top of the tower. The needle that runs up hundreds of feet above the top level of the Stratosphere is actually a ride that shoots you up thousands of feet above the Strip - while you’re just buckled into a chair. There’s another ride where you sit in a roller coaster like car and drop over the side of the tower, and then there are swings that hang out over the edge and spin around really fast.
All sorts of good stuff. I love amusement park rides, but there was something definitely a bit more scary since you’re already really high in the sky before you even board any of these rides. So if you’re looking for things to do in Las Vegas, be sure and check out the Stratosphere rides as it might be a way to lose money slower.

For Christmas this year I was the happy recipient of a brand new Nintendo Wii. Of all the systems available right now, the Wii is definitely one of my favorites.
It’s so much fun - it’s especially great for playing with groups of friends as the way you interact with the system is totally unique and can be a real riot.
Charter High Speed Internet is currently running a promotion where one lucky winner will be win a brand new Nintendo Wii - with the Wii Sports games included. My favorite of these games waffles between the bowling and the boxing. It’s fun to box against a friend, and I’m always amazed at how fun the bowling is as compared with bowling in real life.
To enter the contest all you have to do is Click Here for a Chance to Win a Nintendo® Wii™!
Once you enter the contest you also have the chance to enter a bid for High Speed Internet for life. The bidding is starting at $10 and there is no reserve. It could end up being a fantastic deal for the winning bid.
It only takes a minute to enter, so head over to Charter High Speed Internet and enter for your chance to win a Wii, and also bid on high speed internet for life!

I’m a sucker for R/C cars. I love them. When the mini R/C cars first came out my buddies and I bought a bunch and used to have races around the office. Productive right?
I don’t know what it is - but there’s something fun about racing those little cars around. I especially like the kind that allow you to modify them. Changing the body or the tires - I’m never really sure if changing the tires on R/C car will actually change much, but it sure does make me feel like I’m working on my hot rod when I do it.
I came across a great site that has some neat RC Cars Tips and Tricks. There are some really handy tips that I never really thought about before - and some simple solutions like like using a zip lock bag to help manage and catch all those tiny parts.

Can’t believe I never thought of that one. Duh. So, if you need help with your R/C cars - head over to this new blog - RC Cars Tips and Tricks and you’ll find some great ideas to improve your racing.

I just saw the preview for the new Jack Black movie co-starring Mos Def “Be Kind, Rewind.”
The director of the movie is Michel Gondry of ‘The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind’ fame. I have to say I’m pretty excited to check this one out as I love both Jack Black and Mos Def.
The trailer is hilarious. Apparently the two of them work in a video store in which Jack Black manages to accidentally erase all of the videos somehow. So to cover up their problem, the two of them start filming replacement movies. So if you ever dreamed of seeing Jack Black play RoboCop, this is your chance. They also do Ghostbusters as well as a number of other 80’s classics.
I can’t wait to see this one.

When I was a kid my dad took me to a few rodeos, local events in which cowboys would compete by riding some bulls and roping some calves.
I never really put too much thought into it - as I wasn’t really a cowboy nor was my dad, both of us were city kids. But they were fun outings none the less.
Until last year when I had the chance to attend the NFR/National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas. It’s a whole different experience. A friend of mine had some National Finals Rodeo tickets and asked if I wanted to go, and not one to turn down a free ticket to what seemed like a fun event where I could watch some grown men try to ride some really huge cows and drink a beer at the same time - I accepted.
Well, this was like no rodeo event that I’d ever seen. It was a bit like the superbowl of rodeos. The top cowboys and riders from around the country were there to compete and try to take home some serious prizes. If only I’d known when I was a kid the money these cowboys were starting to make these days, I might have asked for my own pair of boots. Some of these guys are making six figures and I don’t even think they ever really have to go out cattle rustling on the open range. Pretty much just living the life of a country rock star traveling from city to city riding bulls.
Not bad for a bunch of country boys.
Anyways - if you get a chance to see the NFR event in Vegas, be sure to check it out as it’s a lot of fun, and even if you’re not big on bull riding - there’s always a good number of mullets wandering around waiting to be seen.

Current UFC Welterweight Champion Matt “The Terror” Serra is scheduled for a rematch with current Interim Welterweight Champion Georges St. Pierre in Montreal, Canada.
UFC 83 should be a thriller as it’s the first time the UFC is going to have an event in Canada, and it just so happens that St. Pierre is from Quebec. So even though he’s challenging Serra for the Welterweight title, it’s as though he has a bit of home court advantage.
Serra originally won the belt from St. Pierre back in a previous event - and now St. Pierre is looking for some revenge and his title back after an impressive victory in which he dominated Matt Hughes. Matt Serra was originally scheduled to fight Hughes in that fight following both of their coaching stints on The Ultimate Fighter Serra Vs. Hughes - but a back injury forced him to pull out of the fight.
It should be an interesting match up as St. Pierre is considered by many to be the man in the Welterweight division, so if Serra can beat him a second time to maintain the title it’ll prove to everybody that he is for real.

One of the toughest and most stressful things to deal with is fixing your credit after it’s taken a nose dive. I know this because while I was in school I managed to run up some pretty high credit card balances.
Even if you ignore them, they will eventually catch up with you and make it difficult to do things that should be exciting and relatively easy like buying a new car or purchasing your first home.
After years of ignoring the problem hoping it would go away, I eventually sucked it up and started the process of trying to fix my credit. It’s by no means an easy process - but no matter what you’ve done, with a little dedication and a little hard work you can turn your credit around.
A great place to start is by educating yourself on your options. Sites like CreditLoan are great places to begin this process - and you’ll find a lot of the answers to many of your questions about how to fix your credit or how to deal with your bad credit.
So if you’re having financial issues, take it one step at a time.
Educate yourself first and then tackle each debt/problem one at a time. If you knock one down at a time, you’ll fix your credit a lot sooner than you think.
